1. People completely slate Drake. 'DAT NIGGA MAINSTREAM, HE BEEN SELLING OUT SINCE DAY 1.. etc etc'
yes TML was ridiculously sub-par.
but:
So Far Gone, even if it completely bit the 808s and HB style was still dope.
Comeback Season, the mixtape before that was dope.

2. Lupe Fiasco
This guy gets NOWHERE near the credit he deserves.
HOV, muhfucking HOV THE KING called him the best writer of our time. k?

Lupe: Co-sign, but I think it's because he wasn't droppin songs every week, people these days have short-attention spans. But I must admit, I was excited for Lasers because of I'm Beaming / Go To Sleep (yeah I know that last one is supposed to be for "F&L2"), but The Show Goes On and that other one with John Legend? Naaah homie, I ain't feeling those songs right there

lol don't get me wrong. I actually loved TML. but i'll admit the album is pretty much a 7.5/10 or maybe 8/10. it didn't really live up to the hype. but ah well, Paris Morton Music def made up for it, and a lot of the tracks leaking after the album were pretty damn good.

Lupe is just crazy good. Show Goes On? well the beat's meh, but the lyrics are dopeee come on. ARE YOU KIDDING MAAAN? I love Never Forget You. I love how the beat switches up right at the third verse. It's a really emotional song, it's niceee how come you don't like it? :/
