i heard bout thru my bro..he had some danny songs on a cd he used to put on in the car...one of the songs was temptation and no guarantees remix..i had no way to get more danny music or any music at all so that summer had those songs/cd on repeat

Funny story how I discovered Danny!
There was this song by Kanye West and The Teriyaki Boyz called I Still Love H.E.R. which somebody told me was going to be on Graduation. So I go to wikipedia and look up the song and at it states that Kanye West disses Danny! on the song. So from there I go to Danny's Myspace and listened to Fly & Cafe Surreal instantly became a fan.

Yep, the ones on Digital. Had no idea who it was and even then, I had to hear it again on Pandora a year later for me to actually check out his music in it's entirety.
You'd be moderately surprised at the stuff they play on the Hip Hop/Rap station...

It was on wikipedia, I was looking up Pharrell's In My Mind Album, and at the bottom is a triva of song not used for the album. I saw Big White Spaceship, and it said it was used for Danny! - F.O.O.D. I looked him up saw his genre of music. Next, thing you know I was listening to the Charm album, and the rest was history as they say.

resurrecting an old thread but...

Somehow I came across Danny! on myspace back in the day. And the first song I heard was Temptation... I loved the song, and it REALLY reminded me of one of my friends. He was always telling me how much he loved his main chick and how she was a Ride-or-Die type...and then yadda yadda yadda the very next part of the story would be about him banging chick from starbucks. So Temptation really cracked me up and struck a chord.

The beat and the way the song was constructed was really impressive, I loved how it told a cohesive story.

To many rappers spit out A.D.D. songs where the subject matter just jumps all over the place...its like they start out with an idea and then just jump topics for a clever rhyme. So Temptation was a refreshing change of pace. Then as the post above said, I bought Charm, and the rest is history.

I first Heard about Danny on the radio in Columbia... the DJ was tryna play him, talkin slick, and Danny was kinda upfront about it... kinda pulled his card like "Sooo you got me on to talk trash?" It was crazy...a while after that my guy Joey Joe from Sounds Familiar(now defunct Mom & Pop record store) was like yo check this dude out... I was like, Oh I heard of this guy, played the CD in the store and bought it... Looking forward to the new stuff....
